1st Lt. Zimmerman Fitness Challenge Training Program
By Coach Josh | March 15, 2016
For anyone who plans to sign up for the Zimmerman Fitness Challenge here is the training program that we will be using to prepare a few of our teams.
As you can see there is a lot more running than we typically do! This program is intended to help you build up to a moderate distance by progressively increasing the time/distance. In addition to the running, here are a few accessory movements you should be training to ensure you are in top shape for the Challenge!
*Work up to weighted movements
These movements should be supplemented before or after your runs. Many of them can be implemented as warmups or cool downs. The rep scheme doesn’t matter as much as simply being sure to hit all the movements once or twice a week. If bear crawls are the bane of your existence then do them more often!
Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions! If you want some advice on additional ways to implement the accessory movements send us a message and we will be glad to help!
